Preserve open spaces, the air, and trees Celsius 44 is an "in-fill" community which means it utilizes an existing undeveloped site within an existing built environment. Aside from the benefit of preserving our open spaces and greenfields, the infill nature of the community supports mass transit and alternative modes of transportation, including walking and biking, which means fewer cars on the road, fewer emissions and better air quality. We are doing our part to save our trees too. The wall panels, floor panels and roof trusses at Celsius 44 are mostly manufactured using engineered wood products made from wood waste. Precision measuring at the manufacturing plant reduces waste to 3% (which is all recycled) as compared to 15 – 22% with traditional onsite framing. |
